Obliquus Auriculae

Ear
The obliquus auriculae is one of the tiny ‘ear-wiggle’ muscles, but in most humans it barely creates visible movement — more of a small cartilage-shaping stabilizer on the back of the ear.
Function
Slightly modifies, stabilizes, or tenses the cartilage of the auricle. It has little to no obvious movement in most people.
Origin
Cranial/posterior surface of the auricle, commonly near the eminentia conchae.
Insertion
Cranial/posterior surface of the auricle near the eminence of the triangular fossa, above the conchal region.
Innervation
Posterior auricular branch of the facial nerve, CN VII.
