A superficial infrahyoid strap muscle — pulls the hyoid back down after you swallow, resetting the throat for the next swallow or breath.

Depresses hyoid after swallowing
Origin
Manubrium and medial clavicle/sternoclavicular ligament
Insertion
Body of hyoid bone
Innervation
Ansa cervicalis (C1-C3)
