Function
Flexes knee, long head extends hip, laterally rotates leg
Origin
Long head: ischial tuberosity; Short head: linea aspera and lateral supracondylar line
Insertion
Head of fibula
Innervation
Long head: tibial division of sciatic; Short head: common fibular division
