You can see its tendons fan out across the top of your foot when you lift your toes.
Function
Extends toes 2-5, dorsiflexes ankle
Origin
Lateral condyle of tibia, upper 3/4 of anterior fibula, interosseous membrane
Insertion
Middle and distal phalanges of digits 2-5 via extensor expansions
Innervation
Deep fibular nerve (L5-S1)
